Minutes – Special Called Meeting

June 18, 2009

The Tallapoosa County Commission held a special called meeting on June 18, 2009 at the courthouse in Dadeville, Alabama at 8:30 a.m.

Chairman Tapley called the meeting to order.

Commissioner Shaw gave the invocation.

Chairman Tapley led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Chairman Tapley called roll. Commissioners Coley, Shaw, Tapley, Thweatt, and Allen were present.

Public Comments from Citizens

Dave Heinzen came before the Commission representing the Citizens for Good Government. Mr. Heinzen submitted a list of questions to the Commission regarding KwangSung America’s operations. Specifically he wanted to know the racial make-up of the employees, the percentage who owned homes verses renting, the percentage who lived in the County, and the amount of sales tax generated in Dadeville by KwangSung’s operations. See Attachment.

New Business

A.  Commissioner Coley made a motion to approve a supplemental agreement with KwangSung America. Commissioner Allen seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. See attached.

B.  Commissioner Coley made a motion to approve a funding agreement in connection with the KwangSung America expansion project. Commissioner Shaw seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. See attachment.


Adjournment

Commissioner Shaw made a motion to adjourn. Commissioner Allen seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
