Minutes – Regular Meeting
September 10, 2012
The Tallapoosa County Commission held its regularly scheduled meeting September 10, 2012 at the courthouse in Dadeville, Alabama at 9:00 a.m.
Chairman Tapley called the meeting to order.
David Moore gave the invocation.
Chairman Tapley led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Chairman Tapley called roll. All Commissioners were present.
Public Comments from Citizens
Shane Harris and members of the Tallapoosa County master gardeners addressed the Commission concerning a project to redo the landscaping around the Dadeville courthouse. They requested funding and permission to proceed. The Commission concurred with the requests appropriating two thousand dollars.

Consent Agenda
Commissioner Holt made a motion to approve the minutes of the August 13, 2012 meeting. Commissioner Coley seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. See attachment.
Commissioner Thweatt made a motion to approve the warrants and purchase orders. Commissioner Coley seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. See attachment.
Commissioner Coley made a motion to approve a letter authorizing the EMA director to execute necessary documents for a grant application. Commissioner Thweatt seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. See attachment.
Commissioner Thweatt made a motion to approve the FY2013 annual bids for the highway department. Commissioner Holt seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. See attachment.
Commissioner Holt made a motion to approve the naming of a private drive. Commissioner Tapley seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. See attachment.

Discussion Items
County Administrator Blake Beck addressed the Commission requesting a Special Called Meeting be scheduled for September 27, 2012 to consider the FY2013 budget. The Commission concurred.
Announcements
Commissioner Shaw made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Holt seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
